SMOKE DETECTION SYSTEM INSTALLED ON INDIAN RAILWAYS


Do you know an innovative solution introduced on Indian railways which can detect smoke on trains as  well as provide alarm. Fire / Smoke detection device already installed on Rajadhani / Shatabdi Express trains. For the first stage Indian Railways plan to implement this on 22 trains. Air brake system will be automatically activated if there is a fire in the coach and the hooter sound will follow 45 seconds after the emergency brake. Hooter will alert the Railway staff in case of fire, enabling them to shift or evacuate the passengers from the train.

This services initiated to prevent Cigarette Smoking on the train too. As of now this feature going to implement on AC Trains / Bogies only.
